Rev. Paul Seefeldt
First Presbyterian Church of Somerdale welcomes its new pastor, Rev. Paul Seefeldt. Rev. Seefeldt spent his childhood in Florida as the son of graduate students and professors. As a youth, he showed horses (hunters and jumpers) in Maryland. This led to a career in training thoroughbred racehorses on the east coast. In 1987, Paul raced a horse in the Kentucky Derby, and in the Jersey Derby at Garden State Racetrack (finishing third).
A chance encounter with a church picnic and the Holy Spirit started and renewed a faith journey that led to a call to ordained ministry. His education includes a Bachelor degree in Organization Management from Eastern University in St. David’s PA and a Masters of Divinity degree from Palmer Theological Seminary in Wynnewood PA. At Palmer, Paul met his wife, Danica Roki, a foreign student from Chile. Following his graduation in 2010, Paul was called to a church in northwestern Iowa, serving as solo pastor. Paul and Danica have three children.
Pastor Paul is thankful for his new opportunity to serve God in the Somerdale community. He eagerly looks forward to seeing what wonderful works God has in store for us.
We encourage you to meet Pastor Paul at a worship service or at the Church Office.
